Preview 2020 - 25 years of Kunsthalle Krems

In the anniversary year 2020, Kunsthalle Krems is once again dedicating itself to a variety of artistic positions that cover a broad spectrum of modern visual art.

It starts with Robin Rhodes’ performative drawings. His geometric floor and wall compositions, in which the body takes center stage, are characterized by a dazzling variety and rich colors and graphical elements. As part of the donaufestival, a multi-vocal film essay by the Dutch artist collective Metahaven will be projected onto a LED screen in the Kunsthalle Krems. In contrast to this are the site-specific works of Christian Helwing. The German artist designed a spatial installation for the Kunsthalle Krems and the Dominikanerkirche. Starting in July, the Kunsthalle Krems will be presenting sculptures by Patricia Piccinini in a retrospective. In her works, she repeatedly reforms organic and technical matter. Concluding the year will be Fiona Tan. She is regarded as the leading protagonist of an art form based on research, documentation and archive work, which she mainly implements in the media of photography, film and video.
